Applications of Maleic Anhydride

Used as raw materials for the production of 1,4-butanediol, γ-butyrolactone, tetrahydrofuran, succinic acid, unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, etc. Also used in medicine and pesticides.

Used as a trapping agent in metal beneficiation

Used in organic synthesis, also used as synthetic fiber intermediates

In the production of pesticides used in the synthesis of organophosphorus insecticide malathion intermediate diethyl maleic acid, pyridazine thiophos intermediate 1-phenyl-3,6-dihydroxypyridazine, and pyrethroid insecticide aminopyralid, fungicide, intermediates of clothian, in addition, also used in the production of unsaturated polyester resin, ink additives, paper additives, coatings and pharmaceutical industry, food industry, etc. 

It is mainly used in the production of unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, pesticide malathion, high efficiency and low toxicity pesticide 4049, long-acting iodamide raw materials. It is also used as a raw material for the production of paints, maleic rosin, polymaleic anhydride, maleic anhydride-styrene copolymer. It is also the organic chemical raw material for the production of ink auxiliaries, paper auxiliaries, plasticizers and tartaric acid, fumaric acid, tetrahydrofuran, etc.

It is mainly used for the synthesis of unsaturated polyester tree ester, which is the raw material for the manufacture of automobile parts, ships, corrosion-resistant chemical equipment and daily necessities. Maleic anhydride (108-31-6) is also an important intermediate in the production of additives for lubricants, coatings, pesticides, fumaric acid, copolymers, food additives, etc. Its hydrogenated derivatives are succinic anhydride, 1.4-butanediol, r-J lactone and tetrahydrofuran.
